These turbines operate at speeds up to 17,00RPM, with steam inlet conditions up to 2,000 psig (138 barg) at 1,000°F (538°C), and exhaust conditions up to 800 psig (55 barg).

Model R
The Dresser-Rand Model R multi-stage steam turbine is a versatile, API 612-compliant turbine engineered to meet demanding applications up to 25,000 kW. The multi-stage Model R turbine is designed to drive generators for independent power plants, compressors, and other mechanical equipment for industrial processing and institutional power plants. These efficient steam turbines also are used in food processing, ethanol, waste-to-energy, and biomass applications.
Model K
The Dresser-Rand® Model K steam turbine is a cost-effective unit designed for commercial and industrial applications where moderate load and steam conditions prevail. With power requirements up to 7650 HP (5700 kW) and speeds to 10,000 RPM, the Model K steam turbine can be configured with one to nine stages to meet a wide range of steam conditions.
The Model K turbine should be considered wherever a steady power source is required over a wide speed range. Typical Model K turbine installations include chiller drives for universities, medical centers, and district energy applications, as well as drives for compressors, process compressors, centrifugal pumps, fans and blowers in the petroleum, petrochemical, paper, institutional, and food process industries.
Model U
The Dresser-Rand® Model U steam turbine was originally designed to meet the harsh environment of the sugar industry where sudden changes in steam conditions and loads are common. The time-tested Model U turbine continues to meet the most demanding mechanical drive needs for petroleum, petrochemical, sugar mills, steel mills, waste-to-energy plants and other process industries that require drivers for generators, pumps, compressors, fans, and blowers.
